LubanCat is a brand of Linux and Android card computer series launched by Embedfire Technology. LubanCat-Rockchip (LubanCat-RK) series is a series of card computers developed by Embedfire based on Rockchip high-performance processors. With the superior performance and multi-product line strategy of LubanCat, it can cover a wide range of scenarios.

LubanCat-RK series includes three sub-series, using RK3566/RK3568 main chip with different peripherals to meet different usage requirements.

  1. LubanCat-Zero series: use RK3566 processor

  • LubanCat-Zero-W(Wireless): A high-performance mini board with 802.11b/g/n/ac+BT4.2 wireless module and compact size, aimed at makers and entry-level developers, with high cost performance.

  • LubanCat-Zero-N(Network): A high-performance mini board with a Gigabit Ethernet port and a small size, cost-optimized, oriented to makers and entry-level developers, and extremely cost-effective.

  1. LubanCat-1 series: use RK3566 processor

  • LubanCat-1: An all-in-one board with balanced configuration, small size, powerful performance, and high cost performance.

  • LubanCat-1M: The core board of the Card Edge Connector version, which can be used for rapid custom development based on this core board.

  • LubanCat-1IO: The supporting baseboard of the Card Edge Connector core board, with sufficient peripherals, can be used as a reference for the external circuit of the core board.

  1. LubanCat-2 series: use RK3568 processor

  • LubanCat-2: An all-in-one board with balanced configuration, small size, powerful performance, and strong scalability.

  • LubanCat-2N: 4 network port version, focusing on network processing, can be used as an intelligent gateway with OpenWrt system.

  • LubanCat-2CF: The Card Edge Connector version of the core board, which can be quickly customized and developed based on this core board.

  • LubanCat-2IOF: The supporting baseboard of the Card Edge Connector core board, with sufficient peripherals, can be used as a reference for the external circuit of the core board.

The difference between RK3568 and RK3566

  • Compared with the RK3566 processor, the RK3568 processor has a higher main frequency, more peripherals, and more powerful performance.

  • RK3568 can support up to 3 different displays, while RK3566 only supports MIPI or HDMI display alone.

  • While the RK3566 processor has the same CPU and GPU specifications as the RK3568 processor, it has become very cost-effective because of the lack of some expensive peripheral IP.
